Mountain View, Calif., June 5, 2007 — Teneros announced today that Computer Reseller News (CRN) has named Teneros as an “Emerging Tech Dynamo” for its application continuity appliances for high availability and disaster recovery of Microsoft® Exchange. CRN's Emerging Tech list captures companies that are delivering high channel partner margins with innovative and easy-to-use technology unavailable from industry giants.

Teneros’ Application Continuity Appliances for high availability and disaster recovery of Microsoft® Exchange assure continuity of operations for business-critical Microsoft® applications. By providing continuous, end-user Exchange email uptime whenever the production Exchange server experiences either planned or unplanned outages, companies can eliminate costly productivity and revenue losses. Teneros has engineered the first and only complete family of Application Continuity Appliances for high-availability and disaster recovery for Microsoft® Exchange, whose servers are considered the primary, mission-critical application powering corporations worldwide. Teneros provides 99.99%-99.999% email uptime for mid-market enterprises and branch offices of large enterprises. Today, Teneros appliances protect against Exchange 2003 outages and they will provide the same mission critical protection against Exchange 2007 outages, as many Teneros customers and the market migrates to Exchange 2007 to realize the benefits of Microsoft’s newest email server offering.

According to the 2007 CRN Emerging Tech Survey, the top reasons channel partners add emerging technologies include: the technology is superior to other products in the market segment; the technology complements a solution provider’s existing practice areas; emerging vendors provide better services opportunities; emerging vendors pay better attention to partners; emerging vendors offer higher margins, customers want alternative product choices; and emerging vendors have better joint marketing programs. In addition, 61 percent of channel partners surveyed plan to increase the number of emerging technology vendors they partner with in the next 12 months.

Vendors that make the CRN Emerging Tech list must have an established solution provider program and formal guidelines for recruiting channel partners. They must demonstrate that direct sales is trending down as evidenced by the company’s revenue history, a channel positive or channel neutral strategy for internal sales compensation, and not be a dominant market share player. Final selection to the Emerging Technology list was made at the discretion of the CRN editorial team after a review of the submitted information and conversations with current or targeted partners.

Last year Teneros launched its Always-On™ Alliance Partner Program for system integrators.

The nationwide program offers aggressive margins to Teneros channel partners that become members, comprehensive sales and technical training, and the opportunity to participate in professional services programs.
