Teneros Names Andréa Skov to Chief Marketing Officer
Management Change Taps Strategic Talent
MOUNTAIN VIEW, CALIF. — August 19, 2008 — Teneros, (www.teneros.com) a leader in innovative messaging technology development, today announced that Andréa Skov has been promoted to chief marketing officer (CMO). The appointment spearheads the company’s increased focus and investment in strategic marketing and sales activities. In her new role, Skov is tasked with defining the product roadmap and strategy for both inorganic and organic growth to drive revenue, market share and customer lifetime value.
Skov, who joined Teneros as vice president of marketing in 2004, will lead the company’s global marketing and sales strategy, branding and product positioning to drive the company’s aggressive growth. She reports to Ben Petro, Teneros president and chief executive officer, who joined the company in May with a renowned record of leading market driven companies to success. Skov's experience profile includes successful leadership of marketing, sales, business development, and engineering teams. Prior to Teneros, she was vice president of marketing and business development for All Covered, the largest national provider of outsourced IT services for small to mid-sized enterprises; she was co-founder and president of CoolSpeak.com, acquired by SunCorp Technologies (HKG: 1063); she was vice president of marketing for ICVerify, acquired by CyberCash (NASDAQ: CYCH) and subsequently VeriSign (NASDAQ:VRSN); and she was president of Webmaster, an Internet communication software developer and distributor, where she secured marquis customers to drive 300% year over year sales growth.
“It’s fantastic to find a strategic, creative marketer who has also founded and run a technology company, which Andréa has done with great success,” Petro said. “Andréa truly understands the elements of running a business, and that acumen and insight make her an invaluable asset to the company as we drive aggressive growth in a complex marketplace.”
Skov holds bachelors and masters degrees in physics from Northeastern University in Boston.
